Elizabeth is proud to be a member of the ACT family! She is a Lafayette, LA native where she was trained in classical ballet at what is now the home of Lafayette Ballet Theatre, and in jazz and tap at Jill Listi Dance Studio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Newcomb College of Tulane University, and her Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University. She continued to train in jazz, lyrical and ballet throughout college and law school, and trained under Aaron Girlinghouse and Frank Vega once she moved to Shreveport in 1999 where she was a member of La JAZDANZ, a professional jazz dance company. She also taught ballet and pointe for Dance Arts Studio, and advanced jazz for Shreveport Dance Academy. Dance has been a part of her life for more than 30 years, and she is excited to get to share her love of this art form with ACT’s students (especially her daughter) and its community actors. She enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their twins, Genevieve and John, as well as yoga, reading, needlepoint, music and travel. By day, she practices law with Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway.
