The Academy of Children’s Theatre presented the Broadway blockbuster, Les Miserables. at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse on the Centenary College campus June 5-6, 12-13 at 7:00 p.m. and June 7 and 14 at 2:00 p.m.
Les Miserables is an epic and uplifting show about the survival of the human spirit. The true modern classic is based on Victor Hugo’s novel of 19th century France. The show tells the story of Jean Valjean who is unjustly imprisoned and pursued by Inspector Javert. The show culminates with the Paris Student Revolution of 1832. With an award winning score by Claude Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil, Les Miserables is a stirring musical not to be missed.
The production stars Barry LeBlanc as Jean ValJean, Donovan Roe as Javert, Mike Martindale and Reagan Cassanova as The Thernardiers, and Christian Dantes as Marius. The production will feature a full orchestra and is directed by Cynthia Hawkins-Whitaker with Musical Direction By Daniel Ley. Sets are by Justin Williams and costumes by Sara Archer with lights by Austin Jennings.
Other cast members include: Olivia Zeagler as Fantine, Bailey Fielder as Eponine, Grace Thaxton Barrett as Cosette, Dylan VanEaton as Enjorlas, Carter Whitaker as Grantaire, Colby Ewert as Combferre, Ryan Walker as Bamatabois , Ric Humphries as The Bishop, Jack Walker as Gavroche, and Catherine Elston as Young Cosette.
